Ο Γιώργος Γιαννής είναι Καθηγητής στην Κυκλοφοριακή Τεχνική και Ασφάλεια με ιδιαίτερη έμφαση στη Επιστήμη των Δεδομένων και Διευθυντής του Εργαστηρίου Κυκλοφοριακής Τεχνικής της Σχολής Πολιτικών Μηχανικών του Εθνικού Μετσόβιου Πολυτεχνείου. Για περισσότερα από 30 χρόνια, έχει συμβάλει ενεργά σε περισσότερα από 350 έργα και μελέτες και σε επιστημονικές επιτροπές της Ευρωπαϊκής Επιτροπής και άλλων Διεθνών Οργανισμών και έχει δημοσιεύσει περισσότερες από 1000 επιστημονικές εργασίες (285 σε επιστημονικά περιοδικά) ευρέως αναφερόμενες διεθνώς.

George Yannis is Professor in Traffic and Safety Engineering with particular focus on Data Science and Director of Traffic Engineering Laboratory of the School of Civil Engineering at the National Technical University of Athens (NTUA). For more than 30 years, he has contributed extensively in more than 350 research and engineering projects and studies and in several scientific committees of the European Commission and other International Organisations and he has published more than 1000 scientific papers (285 in scientific journals) widely cited worldwide.
